The JCP offers certain employee benefits to all of its employees. The following are some of these benefits:

401(k) Savings Plan: Investing in the future is essential, and JCPenney accepts that eligible employees may enroll. 401(k) savings plans are available to newly hired employees who are 21 years of age or older. The PowerLine program allows you to register by logging in and clicking on the Start Saving option. JCP informs all their employees that you can pay between 1-50% of your salary for this benefit. Contributions can be made in three different ways;

  • Before taxes
  • Roth
  • After taxes

JCP Associate Discount Program: JCP associates are eligible for this discount program free of charge. JCPenney offers discounts on products and services purchased by you and your qualified family members. If you choose to pay by credit card, the rebate you will receive is solely dependent on your payment method.

Time Away from Work: JCP employees will also enjoy this benefit. Time away from work has two benefits;

  • My Time Off (MTO)
  • Leave of Absence (LOA)

Paying time off is possible, but there are specific conditions that must be met. During the first eleven months after hiring, part-time employees must work thirty-plus hours per week in order to be eligible for MTO. After working for a year, you will be granted My Time Off. You will not be given MTO if you average fewer hours than required.

You can apply for a Leave of Absence if appropriate circumstances arise. Nevertheless, you need to comply with state, FMLA, or Military leave requirements, as well as JCPenney’s Leave of Absence policy.
